I
attended Buffalo State for my undergraduate degree and
Ohio State for my masters. I studied for a semester in Italy
and a summer in Mexico. I taught as an exchange art
instructor in public education in England for a year.
Now retired after many years of teaching secondary art, I
finally am enjoying life as a full-time artist. It is
wonderful to take my time to study and paint. |

Most of
my recent paintings have been images
celebrating nature's forms, colors,
and patterns. Plants and insects,
especially flowers, are my favorite
subjects. I take photos and do
sketches to determine how best to
compose and interpret them. Often my
ideas involve enlarging,
abstracting, and symbolizing.
